Pre-School I Classroom

Who is in the PSI Room?

Miss Pammie

I'm starting my 17th year as a teacher at The Children's Garden. I had the pleasure of watching my son, Aaron, grow up here from the Older Toddler program through Kindergarten program. he is now heading off to Pitt in the fall for his second year of college. My husband, Rich, is my partner in life. Over the years, I have worked in just about every classroom here at The Garden, especially in the Older Toddler rooms, Preschool rooms, and Pre-K rooms. I have enjoyed all the classrooms and different age groups. I'm constantly amazed with each child's eagerness and joy for learning. I have watched many children grow over the years here at The Garden. This fall I will continue my education while working with your children. I will be taking the CDA (Child Development Associate) class. With this class I will be growing right along with your children. It's never too late to learn! I am very excited that I have the opportunity to work with your child in the fall, and I know we will have loads of fun! I am looking forward to watching your child learn and grow throughout the upcoming year. Please call the Center if you ever need to speak with me. Feel free to contact me with any concerns or questions.

Miss Michelle

My name is Michelle but the kids usually end up calling my Ms. Chel. I have worked here at The Children's Garden for four years as a teacher, but it feels like much longer, because both of my children have grown up here. You may remember me from the Older Toddler and Infant rooms as well. My oldest daughter, Rachel, will be starting the 6th grade this fall. My youngest daughter, Riley, is going to Kindergarten in a couple of weeks. Both started here at The Children's Garden as babies. In my spare time, I enjoy watching Rachel play soccer and Riley dance. I also enjoy scrapbooking with friends! We have one dog named Ziggy and have tended to several "strays" over the years that we've nursed back to health and sent along their way. These "strays" included 2 ducks, a turtle, a squirrel, and a couple of rabbits, not to mention lots of birds. This is my third year in Preschool teaching the Phonics program. Every year I get anxious for the new group of kids to start. I love watching them learn and grow throughout the year. Along with Ms. Pammie, I will be taking the CDA (Child Development Associate) class. I am excited about continuing my education and learning as I teach. I look forward to a great year of getting to know you and your child better.

Miss Melissa

Ms. Melissa has worked at The Children's Garden for about a year. She has been a co-teacher for Ms. Foxx during the last school year in the Pre-K 1 classroom. During the summer program she was responsible for planning and teaching in the Pre-K classroom. She previously worked with the West Shore School District in a Life Skills classroom. Ms. Melissa is also enrolled in taking the CDA (Child Development Associate) class in the fall along with her class co-teachers. Ms. Melissa has one son, Jacob, who just turned one year old and moved up to the Young Toddler classroom.
