We always look for opportunities to serve others. One of the ways we can do this is to raise money for organizations that provide care/services for children. We will be taking part in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Pennies for Patients fundraiser. During the week of January 12th-16th the children are encouraged to collect spare change to support LLS’s mission: To cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s Disease and Myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Each child will receive a box for collections. Every penny counts! Please turn boxes in to your child’s teacher on or before January 23rd. To have a little fun and raise lots of money, we encourage each child to participate in our Spirit Week. Each day we will have a “fun” incentive for participation.

Monday, Jan. 12th —CRAZY HAIR DAY-Don’t comb it, wear it in braids, color it—donate $.25

Tuesday, Jan. 13th—HAT DAY—Tall hats, short hats, any hats will do—donate $.50

Wednesday, Jan. 14th—PRINCESS/SUPERHERO DAY—Beautiful princesses/Superheroes—you get the idea—donate $1.00

Thursday, Jan. 15th—FUN SPORTS/JERSEY DAY—Support your favorite team--donate $1.25

Friday, Jan. 16th—PAJAMA DAY—donate $1.00

Donations will be put in the classroom donation box. Donations are in addition to the change that is collected in the box that goes home with your child. Our goal is to raise $300 for Pennies for Patients. The classroom that raises the most will win a SPIRIT PARTY!
