Our Mission

Our mission, at the Children's Garden, is to give every child the love, support, guidance, and knowledge in a Christian environment they will need to become successful young individuals.

Non-Discrimination

The Children's Garden accepts all children age six weeks through the completion of fifth grade, regardless of race, color, sex, creed, religion, and national or ethnic origin. We comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (A.D.A.). Disabilities, as defined by the A.D.A., are any physical or mental impairments that substantially limit one or more major life activities (eating, sleeping and learning).

License and Certification

The Children's Garden is licensed to operate our child care program by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare (DPW). A certificate of compliance is issued to us annually by the Department of Public Welfare and is posted in the main hallway. In addition, The Children's Garden is a Level 1 Keystone Star participant. Our Kindergarten program is certified to operate by the State Department of Education between the hours of 8:30 am and 3:30 pm.

Religious Orientation

The Children's Garden is a Christian day care center. We hold weekly chapel services for the children, use prayer before meals and a general Christian atmosphere is a major part of our center. We welcome all families to attend our weekly worship services here at St. John's Lutheran Church. We have visitor packets available and would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
